The Sunshine Canyon Landfill – Community Advisory Committee (SCL-CAC) is a Committee appointed by the Los Angeles City Council (4 appointees), the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors (4 appointees), and by the Los Angeles Unified School District (1 appointee) for a term of 2 years to work with the operator and the agencies that oversee the enforcement of regulations, to act as a community liaison with said entities, to disseminate information to the community, and to ensure that the community’s concerns are addressed.
